From 03 to 25 September, Lucas Jardim was invited to carry out two technical missions in the cities of Toledo and Granada through a COMAS (Modelización y Análisis de Contextos para el Diseño de Sistemas Automatizados de Decisión en Turismo y Movilidad) financiado pelo Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (PID2020-112754GB-I00) da Espanha.
In Toledo, the doctoral student presented a paper at the XXI Congreso de Tecnologías y Lógica Fuzzy, which was held at the Universidad Castilla-La Mancha. This work is the result of a partnership between UERJ and the Universidad de Granada, through its advisors and professor David Pelta. During the 4 days of the event the doctoral student had the opportunity to meet several people from the computing and applied mathematics fields, as well as an immersion in the area of Fuzzy Logic.
In Grenada, the doctoral student was invited to take a 15-day instance with the objective of collaborating on issues concerning the realization of his thesis and research topics pertinent to the aforementioned project. According to the doctoral student, the contact with the MODO research group at the Universidad de Granada was productive and enriching, with proposals for future work within the collaboration between the two universities.
The accomplishment of these missions is the result of the CAPES/PrInt project of UERJ, through the approval of the doctoral sandwich grant for a period of 10 months in 2020, when he had the opportunity to collaborate with the group’s research themes and insert them in his thesis.
